Job Description:

Our client, a nationwide provider of commercial plastic and polymers, has an immediate need for an experienced Operations Shift Lead - Manufacturing, to join their winning team in Evansville.

Our candidate of choice will work alongside the Batch and Production Techs to ensure each batch has been made correctly, no lines are being dropped or production is stopped and is the go-to person on each shift when problems arise. You will fill-in for known upcoming absences by other shift leads, providing the necessary level of support and coverage to ensure continued safe operations.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and administer training of new technicians
Perform all duties of Tech II
Manage production process adhering to the production schedule and quality guidelines
Supervise Production Tech(s)
Coordinate schedule
Have a good understanding of the formulation process
Troubleshoot any formulation issues and interpret to Formulator/Scheduler
Maintain safety guidelines for production area
Responsible for housekeeping of the designated areas of the plant and offices
Assist in writing work instructions
Initiate and assist in the disciplinary process
Perform general maintenance duties



KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to operate a fork truck.
Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing setting with plastics extrusion.
Prior Training experience (preferred)
Prior Leadership experience (preferred)
